  • All public parking (except multi-storey) is free on the first three days of Eid.
  • Download the free S’hail app for live updates on buses, Water Taxi, and ferries.

Why These Extended Timings Are a Perfect for Eid

Normal Metro hours end around midnight, but during Eid, RTA is keeping services open till 1am. This extra hour makes a huge difference when you’re out late with kids or enjoying fireworks and lights.

No more rushing home early. No more expensive taxis. Just hop on the Metro or Tram, relax, and reach your destination on time.

FAQs

Q1: When do the extended timings start and end?

From Wednesday 18 March to Sunday 22 March 2026. The Metro and Tram run much later than usual.

Q2: What are the exact closing times?

Both services end at 1:00 AM the next day on most days, giving you plenty of time after late-night plans.

Q3: Is parking really free at Metro stations?

Yes! Free parking is available at Etisalat, Centrepoint, National Paints, and Jumeirah Golf Estates stations throughout the Eid period.

Q4: Do I need a special ticket for Eid?

No. Your regular Nol card works perfectly. Kids under 5 and people of determination ride free as always.

Q5: What about buses and other RTA services?

Some bus routes (like E100) have minor changes. Check the S’hail app for the latest updates, it’s super easy.

Q6: Is the Metro crowded during Eid prayers?

It can get busy after prayers, but extra trains run and stations are well-managed. Early or late rides are calmer.

Q7: Where can I check live updates?

Use the official RTA or S’hail app, or visit rta.ae. Real-time info is updated every few minutes.
