Dubai Police All Set to Deal with Eid Al Fitr Traffic Rush

The Dubai Police has teamed up with concerned departments and mall management to draft a traffic plan for the upcoming Eid holidays. During the Eid holidays, Dubai usually witnesses massive traffic jams and congestions, especially on tourist sites. The designated traffic plan aim to bring convenience to the residents.

In a meeting chaired by Brigadier Abdullah Ali Al Ghaithi, the director of the security establishments and emergencies and chairman of the events security committee, the team crafted “unified procedures” that will be submitted to Major-General Abdullah Khalifa Al Marri, commander-in-chief of the Dubai Police. The group also discussed security procedures to minimize the chances of any tragic events.

"The aim is to make citizens and residents happy and to make sure they don't spend their holidays stuck on roads. Drivers will be directed through text messages about congestions and bottlenecks on Dubai roads," said Brigadier Al Ghaithi.

He also requested all drivers, especially the youth, to abide by the traffic laws and not to misuse the opportunity to commit traffic violations.
