If you are looking for automobile insurance in the UAE, you will come across numerous options. But the plurality of options is certainly not a thing in all cases. There are so many automobile insurance companies in the UAE, that it becomes difficult to decide which one is the best.

However, there is no cause for alarm. We have decided to cover & review the well-established and the little-known automobile insurance companies operating in the UAE. Many people ask us what is the purpose of reviewing little-known companies? Our answer is simple. Everyone has to start somewhere.

Being little-known does not mean that the company is fraudulent or incapable of serving its customers. Plus, you might actually get better rates and added benefits with smaller companies. Well, enough about the smaller companies. In this article, we will talk about Axa Car Insurance and RSA Car Insurance.

Both of them are well-established auto insurance providers in the UAE. A little background on them is useful before conducting a thorough review of their policies.

Backgrounder on the Organizations

RSA Car Insurance was founded in London. But do not let this fool you. Today, the organization is present in more than 140 countries. It is a testament to the trust consumers have put in them. On the other hand, we have Axa. It is a French insurance provider that offers not just car insurance but other financial services too. Like RSA, Axa has a global presence. Its presence in the Middle East dates back to more than 60 years.

Like the previous automobile insurance reviews, this article too relies on information from the internet, customers, and other sources.

RSA Car Insurance

RSA has been operating in the UAE since 1954. Therefore, if there is anyone that knows the needs of Emiratis, it is RSA. The company has different policies for the varied needs of car owners. It's Motor Executive’ policy is the highest one available in the UAE. One of the highlights of this policy is that it is applicable even when you are driving another car.

It is surely a big lifesaver. Also, if your new car is totaled within 12 months, this policy covers the cost of a new vehicle (same make and model). In addition to this, the policy also offers 500 AED for taxi fare in case you require a taxi after an accident. Interestingly, this policy also provides a cover if a valet/attendant damages your car while parking.

There is no doubt that they are truly unique features. Our search of the internet and conversations with their customers revealed nothing out of the ordinary. Most of the customers were satisfied with RSA and had no plans of changing their insurance provider any time soon. RSA truly knows how to keep customers happy!

Axa Car Insurance

A look at the company’s car insurance page reveals that it is offering two types of insurance – 1) the third party; 2) comprehensive. Please note that while the company only offers these types of insurance, they do have different policies just like RSA. It is actually the benefits that they are offering which truly sets Axa apart.

For instance, the company offers 24/7 roadside assistance and repair. It also allows the option of getting the vehicle repaired from an agency/dealership. If you are a frequent traveler to Oman, then do not worry because their policies also cover trips to Oman. Apart from Oman, certain policies also cover GCC.

Under its ‘Motor Prestige’ policy, third party property damage of up to 5 million AED is covered. It also offers medical expenses of up to 6,000 AED. To woo customers, the company also offers a discount of 10% if you buy insurance from them online. All in all, Axa truly deserves to be among the top car insurance companies in the UAE.

A quick search on the internet reveals that the customers are more than satisfied wit the company. Most of the reviews are quite positive. Nevertheless, they are some negative ones as well. No matter how hard an organization tries to keep its customers happy, there will always be some angry or dissatisfied customers.

Final Thoughts

We thought of including the prices for the different policies. But there is no point considering the fact that insurance companies offer varied policies to each customer. Moreover, some customers are also able to get discounts through tactful negotiation, past driving record and so much more.
