The ADVAN dB V553 features a finely subdivided 144-block tread surface that disperses noise energy for reduced pattern noise both when new and after wear, achieving up to 15% quieter operation initially and 22% overall compared to its predecessor. The dB compound delivers an excellent equilibrium of low rolling resistance for fuel savings, superior wet traction through enhanced silica dispersion, and prolonged tread life via even wear distribution. Four main U-shaped grooves, thicker toward the inside, optimize water evacuation to minimize hydroplaning while maintaining dry stability, with inside grooves focused on wet performance and outside on dry handling.
