Dubai to Launch Blockchain-Powered Automobile Tracking Service

In a surprising turn of events, the UAE government has unveiled its plan to introduce the blockchain powered automobile tracking service. This facility will allow car owners to track the entire life history of their vehicle since its manufacturing.  

 

According to reports by Arabian business, the transportation authorities of Dubai and UAE have agreed to create a blockchain-based vehicle management system, allowing car owners to get a track of their vehicle throughout the duration of its existence — from its construction to its destruction. 

 

Although, Dubai will be the first Emirate to enjoy this facility, however; soon this coverage will be available for all cars across the United Arab Emirates. This is will effectively unify vehicle information service across the sovereign state.  

 

Dubai’s transportation authorities have collaborated with American multinational technology giant IBM, who will work alongside in developing the project’s strategy. According to Arabian Business, all the competent authorities including, the Dubai Department of Economic Development, Dubai Customs and Dubai Police are also set to partner with the vehicle tracking platform.
